NT Kris Jenkins hobbled off the field during practice today and will miss some time.
A hush fell over Cortland stadium this morning when NT Kris Jenkins hobbled off the field and into the lockerroom with an apparent leg injury.
JetsInsider.com spoke to Jenkins just minutes ago outside the locker room and he told us that he strained his calf while pushing off his leg during a pass rush drill.
"I immediately felt it," said Jenkinns who then slowly walked off the field into the locker room intentionally trying not to put weight on the leg.
"I heard a pop, pop," said Jenkins. "It's a tight muscle, but I'm fine. I'll be back in a few days."
Jenkins will sit out for at least a few days and get treatment. He's told reporters that he's never had calf issues before.
"I'm 30 now so these things happen," said the burly nose tackle.
