Although the Jets rookie salary pool allowance is $4.1MM, based on our calculations the Jets will only use around $2.3MM or so to lock up all the rookies. This leaves around $2MM in cap space to add more depth to the roster. The Jets need more depth at the WR, LB and S position. Another OL or two wouldnt hurt either. The Jets are reportedly looking at several remaining FAs on the market and there should be some more talent available after the June 1st cutdowns.

Former Bears and oft injured WR Marcus Robinson, who recently was cut in a salary cap move and had been mentioned as possiblility to join the Jets, signed a one year deal with the Ravens yesterday for $700K that included a $100K signing bonus.

The Jets are reportedly looking at several possibilities at WR including Dolphins FA Oronde Gadsden who is still available. There are also rumors that the Jets are still interested in 49ers RFA Tai Streets.

The team will release the full list of undrafted rookie free agents on Friday. As soon as we get it we will post it on the site.
