The agent for rookie DT
Dewayne Robertson met with Jets GM
Terry Bradway for two days this week, but
Jets Insider.com has learned that no deal was struck and both sides may still be several weeks away from wrapping things up.
No reason to panic since no first round picks in the entire NFL have been signed as of yet. One reason to be optimistic is that ince the departure of Bill Parcells, the Jets front office has had a track record of locking their players up earler than most other teams.
As reported on Jets Insider.com earlier this week, the team officially announced the signing of DE Ryan Wingrove, who was in camp with the Atlanta Falcons last year. They also announced the waiving of four players: P Sean McNicholas, WRs Kamau Peterson and Will Glover, and defensive end Kenan Blackmon. All were signed as undrafted free agents earlier this spring.
