Christopher Nimbley
Managing Editor
Chris was born and raised, mostly, in Northern New Jersey surrounded by Giants fans with just a few Jets fans sprinkled around him. He has loved sports since his tee-ball - kick the can and manhunt days. As a kid and young adult Chris spent the overwhelming majority of his time playing sports, whether organized team sports or backyard football with his friends. Once Chris' athletic ability plateaued he slowly moved from playing sports to becoming a spectator and a fan of sports.

After graduating with an Associates degree from Dean University in Massachusetts, Chris went on to work as an architect for five years. After years of doing the same thing he found himself stuck in a rut and bored with work, it seemed like all he did at work was read articles online about sports, then one day it hit him. Chris loves to write, loves sports (but loves football most of all) and he realized he could use his sarcastic wit to go along with his love and knowledge of the game to do what he truly enjoys. To write and to watch, absorb and analyze football. So he quit his job as an architect and went back to college to study communications with a minor in journalism at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Chris started at JI as a staff writer in 2009 and has since moved up the ranks to his current position as Managing Editor. He oversees all the daily content on the site and also continues to report and cover the team.

Chris is single and still lives in northern NJ, not too far from the Jets facility.

Evan Slavit
Staff Writer
Evan grew up in New Jersey, and has been a New York sports fan his entire life. He has been lucky enough to go to a Super Bowl, a Frozen Four, and a Final Four in his lifetime. While he is a Giants fan, his lifelong fandom of the Mets and Knicks helps him to commiserate with tortured fan bases. He also has developed an unhealthy disdain for all things Philadelphia…except the television show It's Always Sunny.

Evan has previously written for The Trentonian, USCHO, the Concordiensis, and a Union College Hockey fan blog. He has a masters in broadcast journalism from The Newhouse Program at Syracuse University, and a bachelors degree in english from Union College.

Ashley Iaconetti
Staff Writer
Ashley is proud to be the first woman to join the Jets Insider team. She is a born Jersey girl who was raised to hate the Redskins while growing up in Northern Virginia. She’s a unique New York football fan who roots for both the Giants and the Jets. Ashley’s father instilled in her that “football is the only sport.” (Although she’s tempted to also consider basketball a sport having spent the past year rooting hard for the Syracuse Orange.) She believes there are few things greater in life than a game at Met Life followed by a big Italian dinner in the city with friends and family.

Ashley’s a huge fan of the NFL Network’s America’s Game series. She thinks that the latest two Giants episodes are flat-out magical, inspiring and motivational. She hopes to produce NFL Films like those after completing her master’s in broadcast and digital journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She graduated from James Madison University in 2010 with a degree in media arts and a minor in music business.

James Costanzo
Staff Writer
James is a journalist and professional storyteller. As a child, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, keeping him, for the most part, off the ball field. During period in his life, he also grew to deeply care for sports and the people who played them. So, upon graduating high school he decided he would get as close to the field as possible. In other words, inside the press box.

James is the former sports editor at The Lamron and has been a contributor to, The Buffalo News, and The NewsHouse. James graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2012 with a BA in Communication and is currently finishing up his master’s degree in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

James was born and raised on Long Island and roots, often with great fervor, for the New York Mets. And, yes, his last name is one letter away from Seinfeld’s George Costanza. Apparently, the difference between being a Costanzo and Costanza is never ever wanting to be draped in velvet, regardless of social acceptability, and being, in general, much more motivated. Although, they both do love Keith Hernandez.
