Vikings | Culpepper's Season Over; ACL, MCL and PCL Damage
    Mon, 31 Oct 2005 11:39:01 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Minnesota Vikings QB Daunte Culpepper (knee) suffered damage to his ACL, MCL and PCL, which will force him to miss the remainder of the 2005 season. Due to severe swelling in the knee area, the initial examination was not able to determine the extent of damage to each ligament.

And those who drafted him with their 1st pick in Fantasy Land cry...

Too bad, hope he has a speedy recovery

The Vikings could be the one team in the NFL having a bigger nightmare season than us.

Yes, if we can keep our guys away from the Bada Bing, we can look down at the Vikes all year.

Without a doubt. At least we got our QB to go down in week 3 so we have an excuse. Vikings had no excuse playing awful with Culpepper healthy. Like the Jets the team was listed as a legit Super Bowl contender and they failed miserably and this was just the icing on the cake. Green Bay has had to deal with alot of crippling injuries as well, but expectations were not as high.

The race for biggest dissapointment of the season is a hot one. You have the Jets at 2-5, Green Bay at 1-6, Minnesota at 2-5, Baltimore at 2-4, and Houston at 1-6. All were expected to at least be in the hunt for a wildcard and they will all be lucky to finish .500. And dont discount the Eagles who are a lucky 4-3 and look to have fallen apart this year. McNabb is hurting and the team just doesnt look very good.

    True,
As much as I don't think herm is a good coach,He's also had horrible luck(with health)
Tice deserves every bit of the "bad luck" he's had.
If you think pete carrol lost his players,Tice is a glowing example of team that has no respect of their coach.
