    OT-Winter Olympics

1 week down, 1 week to go.
Did anyone see the snowboard cross racing last night. This is a great sport with 4 snowboarders going downhill at the same time. US won by a 1/2 board. This is a great addition to the winter games. I also love the short track speed skating in addition to the other staples (alpine/slolam skiing, hockey, luge/bobsled)

I cant take all these made up sports posing as olympic events. Ice Dancing, curling, snow board half-pipe, mens figure skating. Just because something is difficult or fun to play should not warrant olmypic game status.

Did you see the "diva" the US put up in the mens figure skating last night:

Geez, this guy defines a woman stuck in a mans body (his nickname is Tinkerbell)

    Just some rambling observations...

I've always liked the luge and bob-sled (sp?) events. The downhill skiing is pretty cool too.

Didn't even know this was going on.

They probably need to focus more on the Americans than the other countries.

After all we don't care about the rest of the world anyways.

Boardercross was pretty sweet last night. I don't like speed skating (its boring, Ohno is a loser) but my favorite sport is ski-jumping. Those guys catch some serious air.

bored cross was awful. the race is over at the first turn ! I didn't see one good finish, or one pass for that matter. They might as well make it a 40 yard sprint.

You probably didn't see the medal race then, because the American Wescott made a really sweet pass 3/4s of the way down the track.

The Winter Olympics is going on? Seriously, for some reason I'm not into it right now. Maybe it's the fact that we find out all the results before they broadcast it on TV, so I haven't watched a minute.

The US womens snowboarder, on her way to a gold, fell as she was approaching the finish line due to a premature celebration---CNN

If this is true--what a dope.

The Winter Olympics are my default sports viewing. I'm a football, baseball, and hockey fan, with no interest whatsoever in basketball, pro or college. That means I have nothing at all to watch if it isn't the Olympics these 2 weeks. Hockey is OK to see in these games, but I sure do miss the old days when it was our kids playing their hearts out against the Russian pros who ridiculously claimed they were amateurs. That's what made 1980 so much sweeter.

It's true, it was on ESPN and CNN. She had a big lead on the last jump before she started showboating and crashed. She still got silver though...

U.S. women's hockey team just lost to Sweden...was favored to face Canada in the final. That's a huge upset.

Am I the only one who thinks Sasha Cohen is way smoking hot?
