As we near the draft...(best Jets move)

...how about this one. We all love to discuss the Jets horrid moves on draft day. What do you think their best draft day move was? (please don't include Namath).

I really like the 2000 draft for us with all those picks and Parcells did a great job IMO-Ellis and Chad and Coles are still here

    Jason Ferguson, Rd 7

Johnny Johnson to move down one spot and take the player we wanted anyway

    Jason Fabini Rd 4

    Ryan Young Rd 6

    Bryan Thomas Rd 1

best Aaron Glenn---best DB we've had (I dont count Ty Law) in the last 20 years

worst Bryan Thomas-----i only think this because 2 years earlier we drafted two DE's in the first round and two picks later, Ed Reed.

Where is the love for Me-Shawn? I loved that pick; I thought no way Kotite could control him (remember, all this stuff started with Chris Webber-I had a front row seat for that crap), but when BP rolled into town it was all good. We need those guys that would rather die than lose.

Not bad that about 1/3 of them; can't remember the rest.

    except
Freeman McNeil was drafted in the first round by the Jets in 1981 and played 12 seasons with the team. During his career McNeil rushed for 8,047 yards and 38 TDs and added another 2,961 yards and 50 TDs through the air.

i liked keyshawn too -but not at #1 overall in the entire draft. looking back, he ended up being no more than a glorified possession WR - not the game breaker we thought we were getting.. plus, with Terry Glenn and Marvin Harrison both going early too, it was a WR top heavy draft..

Trading two 1sts and a 4th for DRob, oh wait.....

Seriously, I would have to say the 2000 draft, Coles, Pennington, Ellis and Abraham.
