The Winner in the Best Spouse Sweepstakes is...

    GreenGeek's wife!

My wife informed me 2 hours ago that, as a late birthday present, she bought three 2006 Season Tickets (plus pre-season) in Section 129 row 21 on Stub Hub.

I still can't think straight, my mind is reeling...

If this was last year, that would be a great gift!

    Yes, in fact.

Her sister is single, gorgeous, and plays Jazz Saxophone/Flute in Hot Springs Arkansas.

Were you on a waiting list for 15 years? Never been to a Jets game, would you be willing to sell a couple of the tickets for one game, just curious cause it is a dream of mine. Actually the Jets play the SeaHags in 2008 and I am sure I will be there for that game, I live 3 hours south of Seattle.

Yeah, I still can't believe it. She traded all our planned projects:

    • new carpet in the living room
    • repair of the leaks in the upstairs bath
    • installing a sprinkler system
    • new love seat in the L.R.
    • and this doesn't 1/2 cover the tickets...

To top it off, she's not much of a football fan so the tickets are mine, my son's, and our guest of choice (sometimes her and other times one other person of our choice).

    My eyes are tearing up...
I just had to share with people who could appreciate this.

    She's the best!!!

These tickets are 2006 only. Apparently someone wanted to sell this year's tickets and she got them. They won't be mine in 2008, back to the waiting list at that point.

As for selling, can't imagine doing that at this point...

I had not heard of this group before...
They host a web site. Looks interesting.

BTW...I was always a Doobie Bros fan. I think they were from AR as well...

I could be wrong but, I think the Doobies got started in Califrnia, and the Hells Angels were real bi into them, but, I am easily confused.

Black Oak Arkansas is a joke. They had a hit and dissappeared (however, I am sure SOME poster will have the recent 4-1-1 and say they are awesome), but it rhymed rythmically with Hot Springs AR.

I read further; your wife must must really love you. That is so great to hear. it sound that she gave up quite a bit in agreements; that is really fantastic.

I'm no expert. Just based this upon a comment I heard while in AR about one of the band members.
I could be TOTALLY wrong...and you probably know better than me.
but for some strange reason, being wrong just doesn't bother me right now.

Yeah, we've been in love since shortly after we met (but not immediately). We're both science geeks and after a choir concert I overheard her (she stood near the Jelly Beans) explaining the holographic theory of memory. I was quick to chime in that I thought it was bullsh1t. Two weeks later we were dating. She later explained to me that in this stage of her life, she only dated a$$holes that she didn't respect. We were married within a year. When people asked why so fast we both explained that "it was obvious".

21 years later...it is still obvious.

G/night all...I'm going back to bed.
