Breaking News: Pedro Martinez Has Torn Rotator Cuff

Just heard from Ed Coleman on WFAN. Pedro will have surgery in the next week, and is not expected back until around next season's All-Star Break.

This will force the Mets not to rely on Pedro next year and to get some quality starting pitching in here.

I wonder if the Mets and Pedro have worked out a settlement so that after the surgery, Pedro will announce his retirement??????

why would you give milledge for zito? zito is a free agent at the end of the year. sign him in the offseason. dont give up guys if you dont have to. you were probably one of those d0uchebags that thought the trade for kris benson was good. then they should have just signed him in the offseason.
