Another case of Beliprick grabbing someone he's familiar with. Since we have the ever popular Hank Poteat, Mickens was the next best.

I think we come out better in that swap. I always liked Mickens personally, but he isn't as quick as he once was. Poteat has actually played pretty well when he has been in there for us. He knows the system and the coverages, and he doesn't make mental errors.

is belly doing this because there is a possible matchup in the first round between the Jets and the Pats? Maybe he wants to feed off of what Mickens has to say? It wouldnt be the first time this year a team has done that, or 10th to be more like it.

He signed Mickens because Eugene Wilson was put on IR. Would you rather your coach sign someone they were familiar with who would be able to pick up the system rather quickly?

This is Bill Belichick we are talking about here..he doesnt need the insight of some "off the street" player to gain an edge on the mighty jets defense! Man-gina is running Belichicks defense for christsakes! Hell, Tubby was taught everything he knows from BB.

Mickens made his share of plays, but people forget how friggin small the guy was, and he was always good for stupid PI penalties as well....
