Do You Like the Nickname "The Mayor" for Jerricho Cotchery?

Cotch is quickly becoming a favorite player of mine due to how hard he plays, works, and how reliable he is. He fights for the ball like all great WRs should. He has endeared himself to Mangini for the same reasons and is a "coach's favorite."

With that being said, I see no reason why he needs a nickname (Jerricho Cotchery is a pretty cool name by itself). However, if he was going to have one, I'd really like for it to be something better/cooler then "The Mayor." I really hope this doesn't "stick" mainstream.

I just wanted to get a feel for what fellow JI posters think of the potential nickname .....

I think it's pretty funny, another "Berman-ism." And likw most of his nicknames, they never really leave the NFL Primetime desk.

No, it has no meaning and it's stupid.

    "Cotch" is good enough.

    Don't like it at all.

Speaking of Berman, after 25 years of listening to his bluster, I'm tired of the man.

"How am I doin?" Heh. Somehow, I can't correlate Cotchery with Koch, no matter the semantics. Actually, now that I think more about it, I like it even less.

I miss primetime, Berman calling the highlights with music was great, also his nicknames really werent meant for people to call the player them they were just a break in the same borin highlight routine which i liked much better than stuart scott tryin to get hood cred doing a tennis highlight
