I thought you said it was french?

Do french bulldogs and english bulldogs hurl insults at each other?

It is a french bulldog, the smaller version of the english but with crazy ears. Anyways, the French bulldog actually traces its origins back to england (the english bulldog) and spain where a version of the english bulldog was used for bullbaiting.

Bullbaiting was where a bulldog would grab onto the bulls nose and wrestle it to the ground. Thankfully that little habit has supposedly been lost througout the ages.

Yeah, bulldogs are definatley known for being gassy and grunting alot. I have read though that when you feed a bulldog beef or wheat product the protein and fiber cause gas. One way to curb that is to feed them lamb and regular non beef dog food.

My girlfriend wants to get one of those... They kind of look like aliens to me. Also, we're in an apartment so I don't feel right getting a big dog that needs exercise.
Let me know how the french bulldog goes.

My niece has one and it is adorable. Don't let the small size fool you. They're all muscle and quite heavy. The key is to get one that is from good stock and is very affectionate.

Here's a couple pictures of my English Bully, Brutus. He just turned 3. I also purchased him from a breeder out of state. Found him at http://www.puppyfind.com

Do these sellers do any type of investigation into where their puppies are going? I do Weim rescue and can't imagine placing a dog site unseen. At least she is going to a good home. Is a cute puppy

Hey JY, get your pup home ok? Not to familiar with the French Bulls, but expect a lot of farts, especially 1st year (room clearing!!!). After that, its here and there with the gas. I found that http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/dog...as/UltDog.html
has been the way to go with my English Bulldog. It's a little more pricey than some of the other foods, but I think it is worth it! Its also an all life stage food, so you dont have to switch from puppy, adult, senior. Also, bulldogs love whipped cream, hard boiled eggs (good for the coat)! Brutus gets 1 egg a day for a snack and has a super shiny coat! Good luck!

I am by no means trying to hijack this thread, but I feel compelled to say that dogs are disgusting animals who just use gullible humans as a food source. They're rats with floppy ears, short tails, and what some mistakenly see as a "smile" on their face.
