By looking at the actual schedule, with no mathmatics involved i would of figured the Cheifs to have the hardest schedule

That is such a misleading stat.. you can't count the NFC in this, they pretty much all stink.

also, teams that didn't get in would argue they had tougher schedules and would have gotten in with the Jets schedule, eg. Cinci, Den. etc.

And there you have it. As usual, the Jets are second-class citizens to the Giants.

that stat does prove that Jets schedule might not have been as easy as everyone thought. But if u look game by game, the Jets caught some teams at the right moments during the season. If you look at the records of the jets oppenents when they actually played them, then the schedule looks a whole lot easier.

This schedule is also helped by the Colts, Patriots, Bears and Jacksonville, who had decent records, and we lost to.

What is our strength of victory compared to the other teams? I bet that is lower. We played several strong teams, and lost to them, and played a bunch of easier teams and won. I think the fact of how easy the opponents that we beat (Except the Pats) were is where the easy schedule talk comes from.

It helped to play the Titans in week one as well.

Agreed. But then the Chargers and Ravens are not in the NFC. Not as if the Jets had the softest schedule, even in the AFC. The issue has been overplayed.

Jets of the past choked on this. This Jet team is different. The bottom line is, who gives a rats ass? We're in the playoffs and have a shot!

Remember too that the ENTIRE AFC East got fat off of a weak schedule......

Our schedule was exceedingly weak imo..

A lot of playoff teams (not just us, and not just this year, but every year) make the playoffs due to a weak schedule's help. Every year. This is the type of thing that is going to work in a few teams' favor every year so when it does work in our favor for once; don't complain about it.

You think that we're the only team in NFL history (or this season for that matter) that made the playoffs while having an "easy schedule" in the same season?

I don't see what the big deal is. While some can be harder then others if your schedule is filled with the Ravens, then the Chargers, then the Pats, then the Saints, etc, etc; but there is no such thing as an "easy schedule" in the NFL. Every team in the NFL has a roster filled with professional football players (well, except the Raiders maybe) and there is no such thing as an easy game.
