    Al Wilson to the Giants?

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Denver Broncos could be trading linebacker Al Wilson to the Giants in the near future, possibly as soon as this weekend.

Wilson is scheduled to earn $5.2 million in salary and $600,000 in roster bonuses in 2007. He is under contract through 2010.

If the trade happens, D.J. Williams could be moved from the strong side to the middle.

Per Schefter, the Broncos have also talked to the Lions and the Eagles about trading for Wilson.

The Broncos will probably ask for draft choices. This is Shanahan's MO

Al Wilson, IMO, is overrated. He makes the Pro Bowl every year with 50 less tackles and 5 or 6 less sacks than other MLBs in the league...

LOL. Come on man, just watch the games, Wilson is a great player. Since when do MLBs rack up 5 to 6 sacks anyway?

Al Wilson just has the higher "madden rating" than other LBs, he isn't anything special....

LOL @ people understating how good Al Wilson is. That being said the Giants would be dumb to get rid of more draft picks. They need to head into rebuild mode PRONTO

Why would the Giants give up anything for an aging Wilson when they already have Pierce? Doesn't make any sense. They are in no position to give up anything.

This guy was the heart and soul of UT's defense for four years. Really don't appreciate him unless you watch him week in, week out. The Vols' D hasn't been the same since he left.

Why on earth would Denver do this? The one aspect of that team they're not lacking in any shape or form in is that linebacking core.

Al Wilson USED to be a Top-5 MLB. He has definitely lost a step the last 2 years or so. Still a very good player, but not what he used to be. Guy was a top-notch talent 4-5 years ago.
