Decent chance the Pats open on the road against the Jets

Most of next seasons non-divisional opponents for both the Jets and Pats are playing the national games opening week. That leaves only divisional road games left for the Pats, if they open on the road.

With the Giants in Dallas, and Buffett playing Gillette that Saturday night, I expect the Pats to either play the Fins or Jets on the road. (The Pats opened in Buffalo last year).

That would be cool by me. Get both teams while healthy. Never mind I don't want the Pats playing in Miami in September.

I think the Pats and Jets should both hope to get the Dolphins in Week 1. That team will fledgling and learning new systems under a new coach with a ? at QB.

    Good point.

I don't want the Pats weeks 1. Bad to lose to a divison rival in the first week and we will stand a good chance of losing to them unless their annual influx of injuries comes in preseason this year instead of middle of the regular season.

I doubt it, if you recall, in 2006, our home opener (game #2) we hosted the Pats, I doubt the scheduling people will allow that to happen the following year.....

    Dream matchup vs chiefs

the chiefs sleep through another summer of "club ed" complete with barbecues and days off after consecutive practices. Home opener-hopefully 4:00- Jets fans welcome rev. Herm in style.

Jets can play at 4:15 if they open against the Eagles or Redskins.

And didn't that same Jet team beat the Pats up in Foxboro, and go on to win the AFC EAST? Who was the Qb for the Jets in that Pats blowout win?

I'm laughing so hard right now, that if you open your window, you can probably hear me. Yes, even in Texas.

Whoever and whenever we play, in the future, has no correlation to 2002, or really, any other year for that matter. Each season is its own.

    Superstitions and voodoo aside.

This is correct. But I am hoping it will be the Chiefs.

Never Say Never, but no way we play late at home against the NFC. The NFL won't do that to CBS with the US Open.

Dolphins could be home either week 1 or 2, but there is a Marlin home game on the Monday after week one, and not week 2, so I say Miami opens on the road.

I guessing NE opens at Buffalo in a reversal of last years opener.

I don't think we get the Chiefs as the Yanks play @ the Royals and 1:05, and that seems too weird. Though it would be great and I would root for this big time.

I say Miami goes to Cleveland. (Indians on the road)

The Jets Host the Steelers. (Pirates @ Home)

Yea, it was still close when the two teams were running out of the tunnel for pre-game introductions.
