Kiper's 4-round haul for the Jets

    from Espn Insider

    1) Aaron Ross - CB Texas
2a) Craig Davis - WR LSU
2b) Marshal Yanda - OL Iowa
    3) Tim Shaw - LB Penn St

no 4th rounder obviously, but ironically the 49ers select a RB with the pick... Tony Hunt from Penn St

and unfortunately no 4th for McCareins

and for the record I am not a kiper fan

I'd hit myself in the nuts with a rubber hammer if we took Ross first round. Not even the pick of Davis in the 2nd makes me like this mock

ganggreen insider, why are u so against ross. I thougth he was a very slid prospect for late 1st round. Is his age your only negative?

    From his list:
rather than Ross I'd take Nelson, Houston or Bowe.

I don't mind the Davis pick, i think he's going to be a good player but I'd probably take Wilson or McCauley.

Rather than Yanda I'd take Beekman, Alama-Francis or Hill

Rather than Shaw I'd take Abiamiri or Marten.

Plays slower than he times, gives big cushions, has stiff hips, and isn't as physical as people say...

And that he won the Thorpe over Eraser...

Ross over Houston is silly. Davis would be good at #59. Johnson is BPA at #63 on this board. Marten at #89 since apparently Mebane is retarded.

if the first round talent is really weak and the last third or so of the first round is 2nd round talent, the jets could very well take an OG if he has a first round grade. this regime will not reach for a CB or any other position b/c it usually comes back to haunt you.

I thought Reggie Nelson was a lock for Top 15.

    I don't like Ross either...

granted I won't do any self-inflicted harm to my testicles if they take him....just maybe laugh and shake my head ala Pihoua and Schlegel...

His 40 might be the 2nd most misleading 40 outside of Hall's. What's the point of his "great speed" when he gives his man 8-10 yard cushions?

Who's your #2 corner in the draft, cbny? Houston? Hall? Other? I'm assuming you think Revis is your #1 corner.

    Besides Mrs Kiper, who is?

So Mel has had the Jets taking Meachem, Revis and now Ross...
