Ronnie Brown, Marshawn Lynch, Laurence Maroney, Leon Washington

If you were starting a franchise today and all four of these players were available, in what order would you have them ranked?

    Maroney
    Brown
    Leon
    Lynch

I don't see what's so great about Lynch. He's fat, has no work ethic, and no respect for the game, from what I've seen. I'm so glad we didn't draft him.

    Brown
    Maroney
    Lynch
    Leon

This isn't a knock on Leon, but I don't know if he can be an everydown back in the NFL, I think he can but Tangini apparently doesn't.

    I would go:

Marshawn Lynch- I'll go with the potenitial of him after seeing all of the other guys play......He looks like he could be a beast.....good thing the Buffablow Line isn't that good

Ronnie Brown- I like him, put up some good numbers despite the Dolphins ****ty O-line's......If he was running behind, say, Pittsburgh's line or something, he would be talked about as a top 10 back....I will say though that he is not as good as #2 overall should be

Lawrence Maroney- I challenge his toughness and durability.....really tailed off, but he does have talent, can he put it all together for a full season?

Leon Washington- Will be one of the best 3rd down backs in the league for years, and is a valuable weapon.....but at this point, you can't really take him over 3 guys who are more carry the load guys, not a knock on Leon, that is why we got TJ

That would require actually watching a football game.

And you wonder why people label you a condescending *******.......

Brown rushed for over 1000 yards at 4.2/car, behind a terrible Miami line. He's also a very good pass catcher out of the backfield, he has nice power and pretty good speed

    Brown
    Lynch
    Maroney
    Washington

My list is contingent on Maroney's shoulder though.

Not to knock your thought process, but has any of these backs proven that they can be an everydown back?

Maroney has durability issues sharing time.

Brown has durability issues sharing time.

Lynch is an unknown as of right now.

Washington is the only one not to suffer an injury!

EDIT: Sorry, I'll give mine now!

    1. Ronnie Brown (Best all around talent of the bunch)
    2. Laurence Maroney (durability concerns after 1 season while splitting time)
    3. Leon Washington (not prototypical size, but can run around anyone. Give him another 10 pounds and he could be an every down back).
    4. Marshawn Lynch (no NFL experience)

An "everydown" back in today's NFL, with every team save a handful using a tandem is getting 250 carries or more in the year. Obviously none of theese backs has shown they can do that, Brown came the closest with 241 carries last year, but their respective teams are planning for them to be their main backs next year and in the future. The Jets on the other hand went out and got a "everydown" RB, if they felt Leon can carry the rock 250+ times effectively they wouldn't have done so. JMO.

My bad, sorry Aten, I thought you were knocking me for liking Brown. I'm sorry, I jumped to conclusions.

Washington will be a great 3rd down/situational back for a long time IMO so I ranked him at #2.

C'mon dude, had Ronnie Brown did the same thing as a Jet as he did last year we'd be having circle jerks everyday about how Brown is ready to become the next star RB in the league.

That pretty much sums it up right there.
