i don't get you guys, you'd rather he look like a slob?

it's always better when your high paid DT shows up in good shape not bad shape

why do posters equate weight with power ? fat doesn't have anything to do with power.

if he is carrying less fat, he should be quicker off the ball

    and thats a good thing

    I agree.

It's always better to be smaller and quicker when you face double-teams from 300 lb+ OLinemen.

    weight = harder to move
size = harder to get around

losing both = not a good thing for a NT

    I don't like this

There's no friggin' way Robertson is 317 right now. I'd be surprised if he's over 305.

but... but.... if he loses enough weight.... he should be quick enough to run around the entire o-line when ever he wants..... right???

I don't care what anyone says, 3-4 NT's are supposed to be big boys.

Jamal Williams is 6'3 348, Casey Hampton is 6'1 335, and Vince Wilfork is 6'2 340.

Those three guys are the premier 3-4 NT's in the game today.

Dewayne is now what? 6'1 305?

Some of you guys are lost.......6'1 320 and fatty <<<6'1 310 and jacked/much stronger, and it's not even close.......I've played lineman before when I was younger, and the harder players to move were the ones quickest off the ball, and the ones that stayed lowest with the most strength......The fat messes that were slow and lazy were a piece of cake........D'Rob now is a much better player, in any scheme........Unbelievable

Dude, D-Rob was getting thrown around at the LOS last year when he was listed at 6'1 317.

I'd say he's dropped atleast 10 pounds since then.

A 3-4 NT's job is to clog the middle and take on multiple blockers. Robertson's main strength is getting penetration and rushing the QB.

He came on towards the end of last year but still got pushed around more than he should.
