Sky Sports News understands Arsene Wenger has agreed a new three-year deal at Arsenal.

The Frenchman, who is currently in the final year of his contract, is set to make an announcement on his future on Friday.

Wenger's future at Arsenal has been the subject of debate all summer, following the departure of former vice-chairman David Dein in April.

The likes of Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Wenger, but the Frenchman has insisted he remains committed to Arsenal.

Arsenal have been locked in talks with Wenger over a contract extension for the last few months and it is understood an agreement has finally been reached.

The news will come as a massive boost to Arsenal as they look to build on their impressive start to the new campaign.

great news for the Arse, bad news for the rest of the premiership...looks like those predicting Arsenal's imminent demise might have to rethink their outlook...

Huge for Arsenal but that goes without saying.

I'm very surprised. He was devasted by Dean's dismissal + Henry to Barca.
Seemed like the right time to leave. Anyways good for him. A very classy guy and great coach.
Signing Lassana Diarra was huge. He'll be the next Makelele.
