    Trade Suggestion

Chad to KC for a reunion with Herm in return for a #1 pick. KC is probably desperate right now, Herm loves Chad, and we have our future starter in Clemens who proved himself against the toughest D in the league.

We need to come back down to reality. Chad will never be worth a first....

Chad for a 1? More like Chad for a 6th.

This was discussed on Sirius Radio about 3 weeks ago, before the season started about KC should call the JETS about Pennington. I believe Pat Kirwin wrote the story.

Has Chad's stock fallen that far that he'd only be worth a 6th? I think Herm would pay more.

He proved NOTHING. He had one good quarter and we LOST.

This "loser" mindset is absolutely ridiculous.

    KC Makes Bad Decisions

Just may be able to get a 2nd round pick - KC needs something.......

I think he proved he has a great arm and that, given a bit of time by the O-Line, he can throw the ball down the field, something we haven't had in a long time. He can make defenses more honest so they can't crowd us within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage like they do with Chad, and that will open up the running game more. Your point is well taken about Clemens but, at some point, nobody is "proven". When Bledsoe went down, Brady was unproven too. There comes a point were you just have to commit to another direction - what is the down side? I don't think Chad is ever going to take us to the promised land, Clemens has had a season carrying the clipboard and learning, he looked good against a very tough defense, and he can make all the throws. I'm tired of Chad's dink and dunk game - it's excruciating to watch. I'm ready for Clemens to take the reigns.

I'm afraid Pennington isn't going anywhere. At least not this year.

Maybe Chad would be worth a number one to Chicago...which would be a low pick anyway. Chicago is a QB away from a serious SB run, and their window won't be open forever. Chad doesn't have the greatest arm, but his game sense is fantastic. Jets get a high pick, Chicago gets a QB.

Chad can bring back a 3rd tops, maybe a 4th.

    He's 31 and often injured.

We might have to give something of our own to dump him off with his still very high cap figure....

TJack got hurt in OT for Minnesota and Bollinger couldn't make anything happen. Maybe the trade for Chad it to MN for a defensive stud.

31 Year Old, Often Injured QBs with Expensive Contract.

I'm thinking 3rd round at best...and thats assuming KC overpays. More likely a 4th.

    Great analogy there...NOT.

Moss had some SERIOUS issues that affected his value.
