Pennington To *not* Be On Short Leash???

Unfortunately, it is not looking good for the Clemens era to start anytime soon.........

PENNINGTON TO NOT BE ON SHORT LEASH?

Coach Eric Mangini isn't expected to have a quick hook on Chad Pennington this week because once he benches Pennington, there may be no turning back.
Pennington will be helped by the fact that CB Lito Sheppard (knee) and FS Brian Dawkins (neck) are to be sidelined. Despite some thought that Kellen Clemens might start the second half against Philadelphia, the Jets may wait a few more weeks before considering benching Pennington during a game.

    All in good time.

I have been saying this for the last week. A QB controversy can rip a team apart. Mangini has to wait for the right moment, which unfortunately, is not a good thing for the fans.

All this means is, I won't pull Chad at halftime. He plays the game.
It says nothing about next week.

When you switch there is no going back.
    10 games is enough.
