When people will finally realize that it is not players that winning for NE - it is players+coaching+cheating+refs. Remove last 2 -and they have average team with average players (Tom Brady excluded)

    Congrats.

You win the dumbest post of the week.

    Average team with average players?

Dude, this Pats team is the greatest team in the history of the NFL.

Dude, if our offensive line held EVERY time and never got called because the refs protect this team, then we would never have a hurt quarterback as they would have ALL DAY to find someone open.

Yes, they may be a good team, but definitely not the greatest. They have a few superstars, but the ENTIRE TEAM would make them the best team ever, and they don't have that.

So, to sum it all up, they are cheaters, HANDS DOWN!!!

Go spew your homeristic blather to your retahded brethren over at the Pats* site. You know they got one, right?

I don't recall them actually winning anything yet.
If they go 19-0, I'll agree with you. If not, it will be nice to see your arrogance come back and bite you in the ass.

Name one other team in the entire history of the NFL that headed into the Conference Championship game a perfect 17-0.

    Nuff said.

    It's not even that.

Tully Banta-Cain was a career backup who got benched by New England when he finally did get his chance to pay and San Fran went out and paid him starters money this offseason. Blame San Fran's poor management, not New England who clearly saw themselves he wasn't any good.

I think you need to be careful when looking on the scrap heap of New England, but you can find a few decent pieces. We got a decent player in Hank Poteat from them, Chatham is excellent on Special Teams (Even if he's miserable on Defense). But the majority of the stuff they let go of either isn't very good to begin with (See Banta-Cain) or on the decline (See Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Willie McGinest, Joe Andruzzi, ect.)

For the first time this offseason the Pats might be forced to get rid of a good young talent in Asante Samuel. So it'll be interesting to see how he does outside of New England. Then again, I thought that about Branch (Who's been very good when healthy, he just rarely is).

    Fixed.

You cant wish the cheating away. Even with a SB Victory seemingly at hand. Your arrogant coach, who, Ironically, didnt even need to cheat, saw to that.

Deon Branch has been a waste since they let him go as well.

TX, this a case of the sum being greater than the parts.

Actually, remove Brady, and Belichick becomes another underappreciated and regular coach a la his Cleveland regime.

Deion Branch, if you project his numbers out to over 16 games, was on pace for 71 Receptions, 961 yards and 6 TD's. That's a good year for a receiver. He's a very solid receiver when healthy. He's just injury prone. Was he worth a first round pick? Probably not, but I'd have gladly given a Second Rounder for the guy.

The Pats* are just another team without Princess...I'm somewhat surprised Tx misses that point. Add to that the fact the the officials won't allow him to soil his dress and you have a winning formula.

    Dear Tannenbaum,

Please do not sign any former Patriots this offseason...

    Sincerely,

Jets fans who don't want to be the Pats JV team forever.

Great analysis, Take away a hall of fame qb and the team is just an average team. Like Jordan from the Bulls, Russell from the Celts, Unites from the Colts, Elway from the Broncos. The Ravens, Eagles and other teams knocked him down plenty, I guess Krafts check must have bounced those days.
