The slow motion torture of the Patriots franchise and their scumbag fans can now begin in earnest.

--- New evidence of far more extensive cheating comes to light. Congress grants testimonial immunity to several witnesses. The cat is now out of the proverbial bag in terms of revisitation of the special privileges granted to the NFL by the US Government.

--- Perhaps a spot on 60 Minutes....

--- Commissioner Goodell claims that he has been lied to by people in the Patriots organization. Nevertheless he is asked to step down due to his massive mishandling of this matter. A small group of senior owners are appointed to fill in until a new commissioner is found. Promises are made to get to the bottom of this embarrassing mess as quickly as possible.

Rams and Eagles ownership publicly question why they are not entitled to compensation for lost revenues from a Superbowl win. Although lawsuits between different ownership or ownershiop and the NFL are not permitted, there is speculation that these practices might be challenged in court.

Former players injured in games against the Patriots consider suing the Patriots and the NFL on the grounds that their injuries may have been a direct result of the Patriots defense knowing what plays were coming. Enterprising lawyers file a class action suit against the Patriots and the NFL on behalf of dozens of players claiming these players actually suffered material financial harm in the free agent market as a result of poor performances in playoff games where the Patriots cheated...

The NFL agrees to consider establishing a compensation fund.

This is all a little far fetched as we sit here today but if there is even one more tape, one more scintilla of evidence which comes out, then I don't see any good outcomes here for the Pats. None. Who is there on the planet who would take Bill Belichick's or Bob Kraft's word that we now have all of the information?

After all once a cheating scumbag who has been proven to lie about it, always a cheating scumbag.... etc....
