    New Mock Draft

    2008 Draft

Round 1: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee State
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 185.
-This guy has play maker written all over him.

Round 2: Dre Moore, DE, Maryland
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 305.
    - I think Moore has the potential to be a real stud DE in the 3-4.

    Round 4: Paul Hubbard, Wisconsin
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 221.
    - Has good size and good hands.

Round 4: Jameel McClain, ILB, Syracuse
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 249.
    - Can rush the passer and can stop the run.

Round 6: Sam Kellar, QB, Nebraska

    Height: 6-4. Weight: 235.

Round 7: Brian Stamper, OT/OG, Vanderbilt
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 310.

Go ahead a rip it apart guys.

I like the Dre Moore pick
    I like the Hubbard pick.
    Not sure about McClain
    Never heard of Stamper.
I personally do not want a CB with our 1st pick. I can't believe there will not be a better alternative at 6 for the Jets.

I like that you covered certain positions.

Agreed....you hit all the need positions, I just don't know about where you slotted them. I'm really against taking a #2 CB 8 spots higher than we took our #1 CB last season, especially given the depth at the position in this draft. If DMC, Gholston, and both Longs were off the board at #6 and we couldn't trade down, I'd probably go with Harvey. I definitely like the Moore pick though...I think DE is one of our biggest needs. I've said it before and I'll say it again: we're 2 injuries from starting Kareem Brown and Mike DeVito.

I have difficulty taking a CB at 6 that is a serious liability in the running game, cannot play special teams because of the condition of his kidneys, and has not covered a WR that will sniff the NFL.

I prefer McKelvin, but not in the top 10.

Round 1. DRC. Not physical enough. Give me Harvey, Gholston, Mendenhall over him. Can get Antione Cason in round 2

Round 2. I'd be cool with Moore

Round 4. Give me Marcus Monk or Adaluis Bowman instead

Round 4. Give me Beau Bell

I'd agree. I mean, we do have needs at the #2 CB spot and the WR position to fill, but Dre Moore just seems like a good fit for the 3-4DE spot. Not only do we lack some depth behind our starters, we need to find a replacement for Ellis at some point... Not that he's been bad, but he's getting up there in age.
