What a Horrible Pick: The Sequel

    We picked a ****ing TE?

    Best WR on the board?

QB's Henne and Brohme on the Board?

And we take yet another first round TE. A guy who cannot block to save his ass? A RECEIVING TE, when the best WR in the draft was still on the board?

Sweet holy Lord, Jets Draft diseacse lives on.

    YESSSSSS Dustin Keller!!!

I've been saying Chris Baker is garbage and is crying over a contract when his career year is 41 receptions. Aways been a big fan of a pass catching TE gives us a big target. I was hoping we take Fred Davis with second round pick, but this was a good move as well.

Why would we want to trade up to take a QB?

I can't argue with the WR.

    Personally, I love the pick.

It was just surprising. I had no clue we were targeting a TE early in the draft. We need offensive playmakers and Keller fits the bill.

Excellent hands, runs crisp routes, and has a great burst off the line.

We've been looking for a threat at TE since Mickey Schuler. We just got one.

By drafting Keller the Jets DID draft the best receiver on the board. Better than all of the big WRs available. Everyone off the ledge, you will be very happy with this pick.

    Baker has to go.
Keller and Franks could be a good combo.

    a. I think trading our first round pick for Doug Jolley will rank ahead of this.

    b. Obviously we traded up for him because we were afraid the Giants would draft him (with all of the trade Shockey rumors going around). I'm not even in NY and I know that.

    c. Last he is highly rated, my problem is that he is not a blocking WR. He is a down the field threat. We don't have anyone that can throw down the field. I don't hate the pick - we shall see.

    very good draft thus far.

Good DE/OLB very young and natural

Best TE/WR in this draft our vertical threat

There is no QB in this draft worth a high first or early second

    Good job Tangini.

You losers on this board will realize the benefits very soon

ummm...maybe chris baker will be traded for a pick n a wideout will be taken?

Its not a bad move. He's a playmaker n a big target yeah he cant block but thats ok.

we still have coles and still have crotch and jones, washington with smith and stuckey out there. Now we have a legit Offensive TE who can fill a role for us like Gates in SD...tell me who the charger WR r besides chambers? Shotty is building a smash mouth offense with a lil charger style to it...

    Its a worthy risk...

I'd like to know the Jets reasoning for trading up for him. They must have had good reason to believe someone was targeting him with a low 30s pick. What a crazy draft!
