In all seriousness...give the kid some reps. Can't be worse than the crap we're trotting out right now. The REAL competition isn't Chad vs. Kellen, it's Ratliff vs. Ainge.

Ainge was my sleeper QB from this class, I was very happy to see the Jets take him. He needs to put on about 20 lbs. of muscle before I could see him in an NFL game without my fingers over my eyes, but he's got the smarts and the arm to compete for the job.

Dunno if Ainge's finger is fully healed from surgery, but if he's able to throw, make it a real competition and give Ainge some 1st-team reps. What do we have to lose?

Chad = Great guy, failing arm. Teams scheme the crap out of him now.

Kellen = Good to great potential because of big arm and mobility, but keeps making mistakes

Ainge = Complete and total potential, good size, good arm. Skinny though.

Ratliff = Will not be considered by the coaching staff while Kellen and Chad are still here.

LETS GO ERIC AINGE!!! Just follow the newly re-fat Mangini around at Home Town Buffet and we've got something.

I'll say it, the number of people here who have written off a rookie qb after half a season behind a horrible ol is embarrassing and doesn't say much for the collective IQ of Jets fans.

Agreed. They are really CHAD fans trying to be discreet about craping on KELLEN. Aing is a fine QB but also might not be able to make all the throws. His arm is average and in the stadium we play in, who knows what he will do against the wind in DEC & Jan. At least we know that RATLIFF can make and complete all the throws based on what he has done in camp till now. His arm is very strong!

Another thing about Ainge, I always felt he struggled in big games in college. Hopefully that does not continue into his pro-career.

I'd be lying if I said I was happy to see the Jets draft him, I was never a fan of him in college.

Which one of these sounds like Eli of last year?
