    Semi-OT: Matt Ryan looked good

I know it's only preseason but he looked real crisp here.

Ryan's average arm was on display. One thing I noticed was that he was able to throw tight spirals (which wasn't always the case in college). With that said, I think he's going to be a good QB for Atlanta, not for a cold weather team in the northeast that needs it's QB to throw in unfavorable elements (wind, rain etc...). I'm happy he's not a Jet. I felt that way Pre-Farve too.

Ryan didnt exactly play in the greatest conditions up at BC. He was able to pull out a victory in a swamp game at VA tech earlier this year. i dont think weather will make that much of a difference with him

I made a point of watching that game, and it turned me off to Ryan. Until the final 5 minites, Ryan was horrible. And that game winning TD was and underthrown pass to a wide open WR.

Couldn't agree more. I think he'll be a big time bust.

    His throws look very Chad-like.

This guys never impressed me. And I watched that game last night. And he didnt look that great. He had numerous passes that would have been picked against real competition. He had a couple of balls batted at the LOS. A couple of balls thrown behind his recievers.

The TD pass, was a pretty throw to a wide open reciever on blow coverage by Reggie Nelson.

I will say, he did look like he had command of the offense and the players. I just think his tools are garbage. Pennington like.

I'm glad we did not get RYAN bit to call him a bust after one pre season game is beyond silly.

I think hes going to be a good NFL QB. Some people just like to hate.

I think he'll be like an uninjured Pennington:

Cerebral. Good Leader. Intangibles. Mediocre arm.

Probably wil do fairly well in Atlanta's domed stadium. Away games are mostly in the warm south as well.

But not worth 72M, that's for sure.

An uninjured Pennington I'll take in a heartbeat.....
