Jerry Jones on trading a fuuture one

He just said "As we all know trading a first round pick for next years draft is equivolent to being worth a second round pick". Picks move down a round.

So in his mind he gave up a 2/4/and 7 for Roy Williams. Just had to post it bc we had all went back and forth about what actual GM's valued it at, and its nice to have a final word.

Personally I only think that standard should hold when it's still the offseason. When you're almost halfway into the year, IMO the pick has to be valued higher on some level.

for a team like the Cowboys, with not alot of obvious holes on the roster, a draft pick loses some significance. Especially if they were gonna use that pick on a WR, and most rookie WR take about 3-5 years to become quality, it was a fair use of the pick... at least in Jerry Jones' mind and that's all that matters.
