Thread: Eric Barton and Abram Elam

    Eric Barton and Abram Elam

Defensive MVPs today IMO..our whole defense played incredible, but these two stood out to me. If I see Eric Smith ever starting again over Elam, I'm gonna flip. Elam makes BIG plays, he hits hard, and I just see him around the ball at the right times. Barton today was all over the place, he had 10 tackles, half a sack, a fumble recovery, and 3 tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

Barton and Rhodes are my MVPs for today. Rhodes finally getting his first pick and a fumble recovery. Barton solid as he has been all season long.

Barton was great. This is a contract year for him, no? As far as Elam goes... why hasn't this guy been starting all year?

IMO, when Harris comes back, Mangini should keep Barton on the headset for adjustements and playcalls. I've been pleasantly surprised by Barton's leadership this year on the field.

He's a 4-3 DE and Jets play a 3-4. Oh yeah, Chad Pennington is your QB so suck it.

Honestly, no. Because our guys are doing just fine, and they'll be playing in late December and January while Abe is sitting in a hot tub soaking his sore pinky toe.

Dont you prefer to be #1 ? Plus, which DE is superior Ellis or Abraham? If I recollect, Abraham made Ellis look great together.

    +1

That sack and fumble was an absolutely beautiful thing.

Barton has been all over this defense all year.

This is all without Harris too. Imagine what happens when he comes back. I can't wait for Thursday!

All I know is that right now, for this team, I'd take Nick Mangold over John Abraham 10 times out of 10, and twice on Sunday.

You had Kevin Mawae who wanted to stay with the Jets (I bet he is not looking back) and JA. Mawae still has 3 good years left, Mangloid is overrated. You guys dumped the wrong players (Abraham over Ellis), releasing Mawae (How many sacks have the Titans allowed? 4 compared to 16 to the Jets?

Rife with stupidity. Again. I'll bet you thought Pennington sucked last year.

Meh, all I can say is that you need to study up on Jet history. Both moves wound up working out for the better considering the circumstances behind both players, of which it's clear you're not familiar with, and also that it's not worth the time trying to explain it to you. You're trolling, no more, no less. My only suggestion to you is to try and take a different angle, as the one you're working isn't a very good one.

You are crazy. What gives you the right to question other teams personnel decisions, when said team has owned you for the past decade?

Why did the Dolphins let Chris Chambers go?
Why did the Dolphins let Jayson Taylor go?

Werent they better with those 2 gheylords?

The Dolphins havent beat the Jets in what......4 years now?

You my friend, are a hater.
