    Got Rat!

    So I caught a rat. I am estimating a 2 pounder.

On a sticky trap, between the H/W heater and the furnace.

I can see him, but can't get in there to bludgeon him.

I could reach him if I stick my arm in there.

I am thinking maybe a spear?

    Thoughts?

Feed it until the weather gets cold and you start to use the furnace. He'll slow-cook next to it and you'll have a lovely appetizer.

Shop Vac with extender tube. Worst that can happen is he gets sucked in.

Have a five gallon bucket full of water standing by to plunge him in.

If the space is too small, use two broom handles like giant chop sticks.

Good thing Klecko can't fit between the heater and the furnace.

Grilled Rats Bordeaux Style (Entrecote la bordelaise)

Alcoholic rats inhabiting wine cellars are skinned and eviscerated, brushed with a thick sauce of olive oil and crushed shallots, and grilled over a fire of broken wine barrels.

I'm like Henry Jones, Sr. I hate rats. Can't stand looking at them. They are the filthiest creatures on Earth.

I thought about the shop vac,,, not sure.

I am thinking I can spear him with this 5' drill bit I have, go in from the top, above the HW/H, and aim for the head,,,,,,,,,This could get messy.
