If the field is going to be wet why not turn your fastest guy loose and see if we can't get a db or two to slip? We need big plays.

Doesn't the wet field neutralize burners?

    Clowney can't catch the ball.

    Other than that, he's good.

I wouldn't know him if I ran him over with my truck. Neither would you.

I'm going by the scouting reports I read about him. His reputation is that he's fast, but he doesn't have great hands. (And, yes, I saw him make a good catch in a preseason game back in August.)

The fact that he has not been able to crack the active roster, let alone see the field, makes me believe that there is some truth to those scouting reports.

I don't think this is a good night to find out if Clowney can play or not.

Leon Washington is our more dangerious weapon in the rain.

His cuts are unreal, he'll have LBs CBs and Safteies slipper left and right. Remember the miami game in 06?

Well he has caught a lot of balls in preseason anyway. He had a few 100 yard plus games with the Jets and Packers. From what I saw of him, he and Favre had a nice chemistry.

Why hasn't he cracked the line-up? If Bellichick was the coach that would give me cause for concern. We have Mangini though. Why was Elam on the sidelines and Smith on the field?

    Another Clowney thread.
    Yes!

    I love Clowney threads.

PS- Unless a wr gets hurt, Clowney will not be activated this year. Just accept it.

I can't argue with any of this.

Why did we cut a defensive back and excellent return man and keep two kickers? Why do we only have two half backs on the 53-man roster?

Alot of what the Jets do makes no sense to me. But, I just have to trust (and hope) that they are doing these things for a reason.

Because Mangini is holding out hope that his 06 third round draft was not a complete bust.

Sorry Eric. It was bust city.

    +1,000,000

Washington makes people slip without the rain, I expect a big game from him too.

And Joe W. Namath at least there making threads about a player that's actually on the team

Nugent should not be active for tonight's game. The guy slips on the dryest of fields. Not a good time to bring a kicker back from an injury
