OT: What to do when encountering a traffic jam...

Have you guys ever been stuck in a traffic jam? I mean like a really bad traffic jam.

The same stretch of highway has been backed up for a few weeks now. It's not completely shut down, though. A few cars get through, albeit on an inconsistent basis, but at least there's some movement. But overall it's very frustrating and not very comfortable.

I haven't tried anything desperate yet. I'm hoping it will just work it's way through, as things have a tendency to do. I'm slightly nervous, and I'm beginning to forget how nice it was to put the pedal to the floor an open expanse of highway.

Any tips of dealing with such gridlock? If you know what I mean??

    1) Drink heavily
    2) Listen to sattelite radio
    3) Pack a snack
    4) Phone a friend
    5) Take a yank mag and rub one out.
    6) Find an alternate route
    7) Travel at a different time

    Hope this helps.

Depends on which side you are having problems with. Either Flomax or a laxative should open things up?

Are you trying to put your car into a one way tunnel and there are other cars going in and out of that tunnel while you are attempting to enter that tunnel?

I personally like to drive into a tunnel that other guys, I mean cars are not currently gaining entry into....

Eat Mcdonalds for a week, who knows you may find a cell phone with someone's nude wife pictures if all else fails.

Everyone says that, but I don't even know what that means. What are examples of foods with a lot of fiber?

I also heard exercise helps. I don't exercise at all. I sit on my ass for most of my waking hours.

Whole wheat foods, anything bran, green veggies, raisins/dates, etc.

Might as well start giving out Bit-o-Honeys for halloween and move down to Del Boca Vista.

Raisin Bran or Frosted Mini wheats cereal, or metamucil cookies
