New Blog Entry: HAMS WEEK 16 POWER RANKINGS

I apologize for missing Week 15, I had a problem with my PC, but we're back with Week 16.01. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (11-3)Steelers are riding a five game winning streak and amongst those five recent victims are the Patriots, Cowboys and Ravens, not to mention a losing but very talented Chargers team back when*SD was still [...]

Rankings look fine to me...The only comment that i did not care for is the trade of Penny outside the division. Nobody was going to trade for Pennington with the contract he had in place. The Jets had no choice but to waive him.

I think the bulk of us are in wait and see mode right now. Very little can happen this weekend that makes many Jets fans feel better. If we stomp the Seahags we might feel like we are back but everyone is just looking forward to that last game that means something. Very little emotional good will come from this weekends game in the fans mind.

    Nice job. I agree overall.

The Colts are way too high I think.

The needed a miracle defensive touchdown much like ours last week to beat the lowly Browns. However, unlike the Jets, their offense did NOTHING.

They were tied with the Detroit Lions AT HOME in the fourth quarter last week.

Ham I personally wouldn't rank the Jets higher than any other 9-5 team right now. This team has me very scared.

Hammer, IF this team can WIN in Seattle and play INSPIRED football.......I will believe in them and then they belong back in the top 10.......that 5 game win streak seems so long ago...............

It sucks that our Brad Johnson led team ended up being blown out by the second worst team in the league, while shooting ourselves in the foot in regards to the playoff contention.

Thanks for the ranks again Ham, can't think of any I would really change.

I'm starting to feel it again! I'm hoping we play well against the seahags. The streak has been restarted against the Bills - let's keep it going

I agree the talent is there but the coaching is not. The way they displayed urgency against the Bills does not show they can bring up the urgency against anybody else, in fact they looked even worse last Sunday at home (see the run defense).

That's exactly where they should be ranked.

    I agree.

As 9-5 teams go, I think they should be ranked the lowest.

Even the pathetic Patsies are playing MILES better than the Jets.

At this point, I hope the Jets LOSE out and get a decent draft pick.

With their secondary performing the way they are the coaching staff doing its best to ensure we lose out, I just DO NOT see any way we could make noise in the playoffs........

Honestly, that is the most idiotic comment I've ever read.

I'm a huge Jets fan, but you gotta be impartial when making these rankings, quite frankly Ravens, Vikings, Falcons, Pats, even the Fish and Denver deserve to be ranked higher than us.......power rankings have to take into account the way teams win games, not how they try not to lose them and thats what the Jets seem to be great at doing these days. Just sayin'......

Here's how the 9-5 teams should be ranked:

    Baltimore
    Dallas
    Atlanta
    New England
    Jets
    Miami
    Tampa
    Minnesota

When the Jets win a game on a late defensive touchdown we got lucky.

When any other team in the NFL does it, "It's a good team finding a way to win".
