Unified "Ward Ran For Lots of Yards and Used to Be A Jet" Complaint Thread (Merged)

This guy could have been the Jets franchise RB but again the Jets let him walk add that next to the long list of Jets front office stupidity.

    WARD Career day

Check out that RB performance, now that's some coaching right there, great teamwork, O-Line, come from behind. Derrick Ward
What happened to that run first mentality? Sure could use some faith in the running game here. Don''t ya think, I mean asking Brett to win it with his noodle arm just ain't working guys!

Derrick Ward never should have been on our practice squad. You could say it's second guessing now but a lot of people on this board saw his talent.

It's sickening watching him rush for over 200 yds especially today. Another slam to the Jets.

The guy was never given a chance another example of Jets stupidity. Instead the Jets ran CM until his knees fell apart. The same thing could happen with Washington who hardly got used today. This just adds to agony we as Jets fan put up with every year.

Hardly a castoff the guy showed a lot of potential but Herm only believed in using 1 RB at a time thats why CM has no cartilage left in his knee. Herm liked running 1 RB 400 times a year.

Wouldn't matter if he was still here. The Giants team runs the ball well because they built themselves for it, commit to it, and stay with it... the Jets don't do that.

The Jets mix of pass and run playcalling is so erratic, the only team it stymies is the Jets themselves. Ward would have never emerged as the player he is now, with the Jets. Sorry.

T Jones is having a pretty good year...imagine him behind that Giants line....the big diff is probably continuity and familiarity. This line hasn't been together as long but has a lot of talent, no reason they can't put up good numbers with Washington and Jones

The sad thing was that he was the Jets RB at 1 time. Another front office blunder you could add to the long list of Jets blunders.

It just shows that this franchise needs to be cleaned out. Woody is CEO of J and J where the hell is the accoutability in this franchise? You dont let players like Ward slip through thats how you build a contender. If this happened at JandJ how fast do you think the people responsible would have jobs.

Former Jets RB Ward had 215 yds t'nite

He's the 3rd stringer on the team btw.

Leon Washington was slated to carry the ball 3 times today.

    Leon is our 2nd stringer.

we never seem to stick with what is working either. that first drive was tremendous marching the ball down the field. grow a sac and go for the td on fourth and goal at the one. stick with the game plan that was working instead of doing stupid s**t that gets us nowhere. hand the ball off more and wear out a horrible d line. dont let the offensive line composed of mostly backups dominate. rush the qb and force him to make mistakes. thats the stuff thats been working all season. mangini has lost control of this football team and has lost control of favre. im so frustrated, and probably sound like a broken record.
