Absolutely. Resentment toward the NY media (who never accepted that it was a "privilege" to be watching him and the Jets play), hostility toward Jets fans who expected more from Penny and never got it, and finally, vengence towards the Jets management who dumped him unceremoniously for a washed up Brett Favre.

It must have been hard to top 2007, getting a standing ovation for getting injured and all.

Jet fans obsessions with Tom Brady and Herm Edwards have been replaced with a new obsession: Chad Pennington. If he says hello to someone we'll have to hear about it. Twice he came back from major injuries. He reworked his contract. He did everything that was asked of him and was then unceremoniously dumped for a guy who had already retired and was shown the door at Green By even thought he will be in the Hall of Fame. The only QB who has ever played for this franchise who does not get trashed by the fans is Joe Namath. No one else has even done enough. Yes, Joe is the only one who one a Super Bowl, but are the QB's the only ones to blame for that? I don't think so.
