    How about Jim Haslett?

Haven't heard this name? Could his second coming be similar to Bellicheck's? He's a 3-4 disciple from Pittsburgh... surprised we haven't heard his name at all. If he doesn't get the job in St. Louis, maybe he gets a sniff as DC for the Jets. Wouldn't be opposed to that.

As horrible as this idea is, he's still in St Louis. Reports are he will be retained.

was mostly talking about DC... his players love playing for him, he can run a 3-4, and much of the problems for him in New Orleans were circumstantial, including Katrina. He coordinated some of the great Steeler defenses... sometimes, these guys are hungry to prove they still got it. I've always felt he had an intensity to him that I liked. Dick LeBeau was a terrible head coach in Cincinatti, but noone would argue with his success as a DC.

I think they're trying to sell the team and want to leave it to new ownership to make that decision instead of signing someone to 3+ years and sticking them with a coach that they might not have hired. Or his salary, Haslett isn't making Parcells like dollars.

But the guy hasn't proved that he can coach anywhere.

Or they just figured Adam Carriker and Chris Long are going to blow a d*ck no matter who the coach is.
