IMO....bad career move for Pioli if he accepts.....Is he unhappy in NE to run to KC for perhaps more money?

You are nuts it is a great job. You have a host of young players, you have draft picks, you have cap space, a great fan base and an owner who wants to win. Plus he is totally firing Herm which means he gets to bring in his own coach.

I think alot of it is ego, he wants to prove that it isn't all Bill Belicheck.

I don't consider it ego to want to run your own show and challenge yourself to be the best you can be. Everyone knows Belichick runs everything in NE. This is Pioli's chance to be The Man. Nothing wrong with that.

Make no mistake - its ego. But, having an ego is not a bad thing. It means he's ambitious and wants to make his mark somewhere. Doesn't mean that he's ungrateful and arrrogant. An ego run amok is a dangerous thing, but healthy ambition leads to success.

Lots of rumors today that Pioli to the Chiefs is a done deal and that Herm will be fired.

One more coach available for Tanny to interview.

Would we have to give them Leon Washington back?
