Rex has been my pick all offseason. I never liked the idea of Spags coming in and switching back to the 4-3

I think Spags wanting full control probably scared us a little bit.

It would have killed me knowing that the Jets tossed one of the best 4-3 MLBs because he didnt perform in the 3-4 only to switch back one year later. Plus Pace would become useless.

Is this based off of something you read? Why would a rookie HC demand full control, several long-time tenured HCs don't even get full control,

Makes perfect sense. Jets appealed to him because he is from the NE and his wife is from NJ.

But he has relationships inside the Rams. And they may be stupid enough to cave into his demands for control.

And of course, the Jets don't seem all that interested in him, so his choices are slim. Rams make the best sense for him given whats available.

I'd be very pleased with having Rex Ryan as the head coach.

    It's a done deal.

The St. Louis Rams have hired Steve Spagnuolo as their head coach, giving him a four-year, $11.5 million contract.

Wow, ESPN sucks...NFL.com has this story plastered all over their front page and ESPN hasn't even mentioned it on their site at all.

Im not sure Spags is ready to be a HC. The Rams are a terrible team with too many old players at key spots. I wish him the best, but dont think he will succeed that much. For some reason Spags reminds me alot of Pete Carrol when he was our coach.

i guess it's rex or bust at this point. i can't see any reason why he WON'T come here. well, we could always wait for pioli to fire herm, and he could always come back. but then of course i would have to become a texans fan.

I agree with you there, but as you well know as a Jets fan, even supposed "locks" can turn on us at any moment. This is usually the point where the rug gets pulled out from under us. While I would like the Ravens to win tomorrow, the consolation prize is that we could potentially procure Rex's services come Monday.
