    Brett Ratliff -- 7/13, 84 yds 0 TDs 2 INTs

Just wanted to give the "We Traded the Wrong Guy" people an update on their would-be-savior in last night's preseason game for the Browns.

He went 7/13 for 84 yds, 0 TDs and 2 INTs.

Funny thing is that both Anderson & Quinn threw a pick a piece as the Browns were blanked 0-17 in Mangini's debut.

Ratliff did outperform Anderson who went 0/2 with 1 INT.

I still think we did. I'd rather have Ratty than KC.

Don't discount Erik Ainge as the long term back-up to Sanchez. The real comparison might be Ainge vs Ratliff not Clemens.

It's only the preseason but then again everyone wanted to crown Ratliff the starter based on his preseason performance.

Well, Ratliff can't play the Browns in preseason anymore.

    His powers are handicapped.

    Exactly.

You live by the preseason; you die by the preseason.

Jeez. Must have been an off day for Ratty. Those numbers are very Clemmons like.

I think Brian Daboll is going to sink the CLE offense. As QB coach one Daboll's brilliant ideas was to ask the QBs questions about the playbook while throwing tennis balls at their head. This was supposed to teach them to think under pressure. Expect the Browns offense to go to crap.

    Ainge?

They had Ratty better than NFL starting QB's. He was the next Romo. Why shoot so low and compare to backup material?

Keep on spreading that myth. The reports coming out of ota's and training camp plus the "sources" that said the FO loved him weren't the reason people had hope for Ratliff no it was one preseason game. Keep on telling that to yourself.
