Presuming he can stay on his feet. He tends to get them tangled.

Regardless, I like this move. Rest the kid. Run the ball, play D.

    Go Kellen!!!

This could end bad with this guy QB'ing anything, but hopefully we only make him throw twice again.

That's what we should've been doing with Sanchez in the game all year!

no sense in having Sanchez out there if he's not ready to go.

    good luck, Kellen!!

    Smart move.

Interestingly enough, in my Madden franchise Marky Mark threw 2 picks during Week 1 and then broke his ribs. KC came in to replace him and lit up the joint. When Sanchez healed I kept Clemens in and he's been unstoppable.

Ain't like real life, that's for sure.

If there is any chance that Sanchez can do more damage to his knee by playing, save of course for the risks that come with playing qb healthy or not, he should sit. Tampa is a team we should beat despite of KC. Also, Kellen is getting a week's worth of practice with the first team. I still say we win this game easily.

FINE. If Sanchez isn't ready, do not in put him in jeopardy. Let him rest for an extra week and heal. We need him at full strength for the last 3 games if we want to win. Clemens can handle the Bucs. Just run the ball 50 times and we're good. They're ranked about where the Bills are on run defense.

    It's the right decision.

Clemens isn't very good but --with a full week of reps as the starter-- he is better than he showed last week.

Run it a million times, don't turn it over and play good defense. If we do that we'll beat a bad Tampa team.

Isn't that what we've been doing anyway?

+1, i just hope he doesn't sack himself again

If Clemens plays well, it will not only help the team for this week, but might add to his trade value as a RFA (assuming no new CBA), or at least help his prospects for signing as a free agent next year. Or maybe even cause Tannenbaum to re-sign him as a solid backup.

    It's probably the right move

Get the kid healthy, let him back-up this week and get hungry from the sideline, he's yet to experience the sideline during the regular season, this game will give him a chance to take things in and maybe this slows down the game for him a little more. It's great Sanchez has been getting the experience while playing, but he hasn't had that moment where he can digest everything he's doing and what he's been through, the sideline can help him do that.

Clemens can handle TB with a full week of practice, maybe he allows Schotty to open up the offense a little more.

Need to protect the future as well, no sense putting Sanchez out there if he isn't ready. Looks like he'll be back for Atlanta.

Now all the reporters that felt Sanchez should sit for a game will now write as long as Sanchez has two legs he should be playing..

LOL. Clemens certainly has us all thinking out of the box! Let's see if he can actually tackle himself without getting a facemask penalty. That would be interesting...
