    Season thoughts

What would you say has been the biggest change in the team this season? Can range from anything between front office attitude to player performance, to schematics, to attendance. And it can either be a positive or a negative change.

    Just looking for people's thoughts.

The answer would have to be: Rex Ryan. Rex Ryan has been the man running the show; a type of leader that NFL players follow, respect and learn from. / Instead of Eric Mangini; a man that was never his own man, a man that was trying to live in the shoes of another man (BB), a coach that players laughed at.

Just look at the #1 ranked Defense in the game today, along with the #1 ranked rushing attack around. This was never the case with Eric Mangini. Under Eric Mangini, our team played soft against teams such as the Raiders and Seahawks. Under Rex Ryan? This team has a chance to win each and every game; they compete.

Rex Ryan and the whole demeanor/attitude change by far

Rex and defensive scheme. No longer are we stuck with that gap control two gapping scheme that yields ZERO tackles behind the LOS.

First thing is that Rex is transforming this D into a very good unit. Losing Jenkins for the season, having played many games without Sheppard & Strickland and he's still getting them to play better each & every week.

The defense is the 1st unit that he needed to get up to speed, & he's done that with flying colors. To have the #1 defense in the AFC, in your first year installing your system is incredible. With another free agency period & the draft the skies the limit, especially if Jenkins comes back.

When you have a really good defense, the chances of losing to inferior teams becomes a lot less.
Beating the teams your supposed to beat is the most important step to getting to the playoffs year after year.

Dump Shoddy, promote Callahan & watch Sanchez become the QB we expect him to be.
