From an email I recd from a friend in Pitts.

    link: http://nflspinzone.com/2010/04/22/be...s-a-done-deal/

According to “Kobe,” a former radio jockey in Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders have completed a deal, pending league approval, that would send suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to Oakland for Nnamdi Asomugha and a swap of first-round picks.

It may be complete BS but to be honest, it seems like a fair trade to me. Raiders finally get somebody reliable behind center and the Steelers get decent compensation.

That would be a great trade for both teams.

    Ben Roethlisberger-QB-Steelers Apr. 22 - 1:51 pm et

Teams outside the AFC North division with "clear quarterback needs" tell SI.com's Peter King that the Steelers have not contacted them about dealing for Ben Roethlisberger.

He's not going anywhere unless he screws up again. Big Ben is too "toxic" to other teams in terms of publicity, and his ban from offseason practice hinders his ability to learn a new offense. King's report lends credence to the belief that the Steelers' primary aim was to scare Roethlisberger straight by threatening to banish him to the lunatic fringe of the NFL with Al Davis.

In a related story, "Lebron" has reported that the Jets and Browns have consummated a deal in which the Jets trade their first round pick to Cleveland for their second round pick plus the rights to a certain NBA player, which will then be forwarded to the Knicks for the rights to build their own West Side Stadium.

That actually sounds like a great trade IMO. The Raiders get a 1st round pick where they can still draft a very good player and they have the most important position on the football field taken care of.

The Steelers get a lock down corner and a top ten pick to take a highly touted QB. Makes sense to me
