    Jenkins wins weight loss competition

Kris Jenkins, the Jetsí hefty nose tackle, won a weight-loss competition with Coach Rex Ryan and right tackle Damien Woody, shedding 33.6 pounds and showing up at training camp Sunday at 359.
Woody dropped 26.2 pounds to report at 340, and Ryan was down 20 since issuing the challenge to the two players.

Ryan jokingly questioned the results, saying he should have been given credit for the 35 pounds he lost as a result of Lap-Band surgery. Ryan also pointed out that he was the one, back in May, who set the rules for the competition.

He actually looked really good on Jets Nation last week. Maintained the muscle and lost the fat.

Having Jenkins playing at around 350 would be great! He would still maintain his strength and his burst should be improved with less weight to lug around.

    Great News...

Out of the three participants, Jenkins will benifit the most from losing the weight, hopefully will help him stay healthy this year for a full 16 (+3)

A couple weeks of two-a-days and I'd think he'd be close to 350 from 359.

Definitely! This will help save his knees too, the extra weight couldn't have helped during his rehab.
