    Sanchez TD sneak clock question

I was at the game Sunday, and the win caused me to forget about this..and I'm sure it was already discussed here, but what was going on with the clock after the Sanchez TD sneak?

Sanchez sneaks in, the play is over, and it takes the officials a good 15 seconds to discuss and signal TD.. all the while, the time is running off the game clock.

I figured they would add that time back, but as the Jets kicked the XP, they did not. I was furious- obviously with only 1 time out left, every second counted..and there was at least a 15 second run off there.. does the clock not get stopped when the refs stop the game to make a call?

The Lions made it up to us by throwing that incomplete pass.

I was actually wondering if it was unchallengeable? Especially given the time (about 2:40), and the likelyhood of needing another challenge before 2 minutes, and the likelyhood that the challenge would have won (time added) (near 100%). It seemed like the Jets should have challenged what time the score happened.
As bad as the Lions call for the run was, it never should have been in that situation, because Sanchez snapped at 3 minutes, and the Jets kicked off at 2:46, and the Lions first snap was at 2:37. If the Lions first snap was at 2:47 and they ran it into the line, it's not entirely clear what they would have done on 2nd down.

Though in the end, it may not have mattered.

Officials didn't signal a TD, clock keeps running until they do.

True, the clock will keep running. But they should have went back and added time on to the clock when it was ruled a TD.

Even if is a challengeable play, we didn't have one to use..

I was going nuts about that 14 seconds, thankfully we didn't need it.

I thought the Jets had 1 time out and 1 challenge left?
