Someone explain this to me...the last time we played the AFC East was in '08 and we hosted KC and Den and went to Oak and SD. Why are we hosting KC and going to Oak again instead of the opposite?

In 08 the Jets and the patsies both played the respective west divisions and each had to go to sd, oakland, sf and seattle. The patsies cried foul over this so they changed it that if you had to go out to oak you get denver on the road, an easier road trip. KC and sd are the other pair now. The same thing has been done w/ the nfc west that if you have to go to seattle, you get to go to stl and the same w/ arizona and sf.

The Jets played the NFC East in 2007 NOT 2008.

Remember Clemens' debacle Thanksgiving Day against the Cowboys? And Chad's Pick 6 to the Giants' then rookie Aaron Ross?

So it has been 4 yrs.

I didn't realize that typo. I meant AFC West. I thought we would host Oak and SD since we went to both Oak and SD in '08 but apparently there was a changed made so teams wouldn't have to make 4 coast to coast trips like we and the Pats did in '08.

We will be in Oakland and Denver for these games. I would love to go to the giants/JETS game. When are the dates coming out?

The formula for determining the "toughest schedule" never takes into fact that anyone who plays against the Pats, gets "toughness points" but since the Pats have the best record, that formula suffers because who can the Pats play that's going to be a "tougher opponent" based on records. It's a screwy formula but in theory, the division winners play the toughest schedule. The problem is that the best record, can't play themself.

Nobody will know who has a tougher shedule until about week 9 of next season.
