    Jim Caldwell-Deer in the headlights?

Every Colts game I watch this dude on the sidelines and it looks like he has no clue. I don't know much about him other than I know that he was Dungy's hand picked successor. Is Peyton the real head coach of this team? What am I missing?

I said the same exact thing to my Dad when watching the game. "Jim Caldwell is one of the worst head coaches in the league." He said: "Well, he's 24-8." I said "Peyton Manning is the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts."

    The guy is really clueless.

Well, Rex definitely out coached him tonight. He's a lot like Tony Dungy in that, he just waits for someone to come and beat him. He doesn't strategize that I can see.

I'm sure Jim Caldwell is a great coach in his own right, but Rex got the better of him tonight.

that challenge one minute into the game was very herm like....

btw- as i'm sure you saw manning was pissed the Colts were calling time outs when the jets had the ball...didn't matter in the end but his reaction was interesting...

How do you get the job even before Dungy steps down?
How does Colts ownership agree to this?

    Manning >Caldwell

He couldn't coach in the DSRL

Peyton should sign with the Jets this offseason forming an alliance with Rex. Can you say 16-0?

What a dumb TO with :30 seconds left, Jets would probably had to play for a 45 yard FG without that TO.

He also cost them a critical game with a terrible TO against JAX earlier this year

He is by far one of the worst coaches in the NFL

Nah. I think we still had one time out on the board so it didn't matter but it was still dumb. But Rex probablynshould have used a time out earlier than he did on the prior drive too. Clock mgmt seems to be erratic all over.

He's like a robot out there. I never see his facial expression change. Hell I don't even think I've ever see him talk

The TO and the running into the kicker penalty was the difference

Is there a person in America who thinks Caldwell actually has any power? Peyton Manning says "him or me" who do you think they keep?

Agreed. I was having flashbacks to Herm in that playoff game in Pittsburgh, settling for a long field goal.

That TO was a game changer.

Anybody know WHY the Colts called a TD there?

  18. #18
That time out he called in the 4th quarter made me say "THANKS" ... dumbest call I've seen in awhile. There's less than 30 seconds left in the game you're not going to get the ball back and they have 1 time out. That time out actually was a huge help for us lol. Thanks Caldwell!

I guess, to ensure they'd have some time left on the clock, provided the Jets kicked a FG?

It was an awful decision, but I don't give a ****, it worked out for us.

He doesn't really do anything except stand still and call dumb timeouts.

To his credit though he doesn't talk a lot of junk (which he certainly could), which is a nice change in pace from what we're used to.
