    Sanchez Calling Own Plays?

Just saw on one of the cable shows that follows the Jets that Sanchez called that go route to Braylon on the last drive. Coach Scottenheimer apparently asked him what he wanted to run, and he (Sanchez) said the go route. So... he called the go route, and they ran the go route, and he completed the pass on the go route.

Ray Lucas and the other guys were saying that it took alot of stones to call that play again being that he had been missing passes all day long. D woody and one of the other O linemen (Mangold maybe) said they didnt know that it was Sanchez that called that play.

Shows alot that the kid called this play. Showed alot that they trusted him to call that play.

Lucas went on to say that its not the Jets that dont trust Sanchez, but that its Sanchez that doesnt trust Sanchez.

    Thoughts?

ThE issue is with the poorly conceived play book. It's predictable and limited, it's Sh!TTY like Shotty. We will never win a superbowl with Sh!TTY as our OC.

He only calls the game winners, comebacks, and successful plays.

Everything else is Schotty aka Schitty.

Was there ever a case of a QB who was also the Offensive Coordinator?

    Make it happen, Tangini.

Don't let Brady hear you say that. He'll get even more angry and beat us 85 to 0.

Yeah, but it was such a cool slogan that I'm trying to bring it back.

And +1 on Peyton Manning. Maybe that's the future for young Mark Sanchez. They playbook can be titled, "Marky Mark & the Touchdown Bunch"

if true it's really astounding that schitty doesn't know what play to call in the last minute of a game. it may sound good on the surface that he empowered sanchez to make the call but in reality it demonstrates what a little back climber the weasel really is. sanchez and edwards bailed out schitty and rex by making that play. prior to that, rex and schitty were actually screwing up especially when schitty called the same play on 3rd and 5 and sanchez overthrew edwards. and how about only taking 17 seconds off the clock after running 3 plays? that's just really poor game management at the most critical time in the game.

Pretty much every great QB ever.

SOJ with a strong, knowledgeable post as usual. You gonna/wanna help me burn down Schitty's house this Sunday?

Wasn't so long ago that all quarterbacks called their own plays.
