For the Jets to win, Steve must Weather the storm

lost in the debacle of the 45-3 drubbing @ gilette stadium was just how terrible weatherford played. Field position is jets football we cannot give them an inch let alone shanked punts! Funny..probably his only bad game all year but this time we need him on his A game. If someone has the means and stats to research his #s for the game but im certain weatherford had a terrible punting night.

He shancked ONE punt! he was fine the rest of the night! It was Sanchez throwing INTS that killed us.

Last week against Indy, Weatherford punted 5 times, and 4 went for touchbacks. Not sure if punting indoors affected him, but those are usually the situations where he's dropping them inside the 10 yard line. We need him to be that accurate this week, to pin Brady deep.

As for the 45-3 game, it's well known that Kraft & Beli have the visitors' changing rooms wired up with nerve gas dispensers, which is why the last game looked so bad. (Reading some of the other threads this week, I'm shocked no-one else has suggested it so far).

welp looks like Weatherford had another terrible game...yet somehow we're still here! Rex has been on his ass this week so I think Weatherford will come out to play. We cannot afford this terrible punting he's been doing lately.

Indeed. Just said to my buddy last night that the ST's as a whole need to be much better this week. They pretty much gave us 9 points last time we played the Steelers. The Smith KO return and the punt that pinned them deep, followed by the safety.
