Osi Umenyiora - What would it take?

Since we freed up all this cap space, I'm sure we can sign him to a long term deal, but obviously we'd have to trade for him. What would it cost to get him and would he fit into our defensive scheme as a pass rusher?

A pantry full of stupid pills...We already get drama from Revis every off-season. Do I really need Osi's annual "look at me!" song and dance too?

Why would we sign Umenyiora to a big deal when we don't even know if he can play in space as a standup OLB?

Not to mention the draft picks we'd have to give up.

Just wait...I love me some Revis, but the man's a bit of a diva.

We could certainly use his pass-rushing ability.

You don't trade draft picks for a 30 year who would have to learn a new position.

Twice. Don't forget the holdout after he was drafted. The third time is coming next year or the year after.

Why would the Giants trade a pass rusher who's put up 31.5 sacks over the past 3 seasons? What, the Giants aren't trying to compete for a title this year or something?

Clearly. If I had assurances he's come here and keep his mouth shut, that'd be another matter. For all the headaches I've seen him give the Giants...no thanks.

osi would be a sick upgrade, can he play 3-4 DE and still get a pass rush though?

He's not exactly built like the prototype 3-4 edge rusher. He's a bit long and lanky for the position IMO.

    Pass.

Because he is a chronic cry baby and cancer in the locker room. And by the way, he doesn't honor his contract---I think thats reason enough to dump him on Tannenbaum.
