    Aso > Holmes

    Aso + Braylon >>> Holmes + Cro

Holmes is a borderline top 10 WR, Aso is bar-none the 2nd best CB in the game.

Hell, I'd even take Braylon over Holmes.

For the same amount, probably even less, we could have had Aso + Braylon

The Holmes deal I think was a mistake from the start. We should have and could have matched Phillys offer @25 guaranteed its virtually what we gave holmes....

As much as I love Edwards, Holmes is the better receiver, by far.

Cool idea except for being wrong.

Holmes cap number is only $2.5 mil so that didnt cause any problems in getting Aso. Plux, the Jets weent going to pay Aso more than Revis and that is what he got.

I want to know when the Plan B will come into effect. Given the recent news, it doesnt look like either edwards or Cromartie is coming back. I want to win a Super Bowl, not finish second to the Pats.

But Aso is much muc better then Cro. Not even close. Holmes and Edwards are not as far apart.

Aso and Edwards would have cost us less then Holmes and Cro will.. We blew it!

Holmes was more important for this team, he was always the top priority because they need a young #1 WR to be with Sanchez for the next 5 years. I would want Sanchez to have the guy that runs great routes and can make catch a slant then take it for 50 yards.

If we can get Braylon back now that would be great because our WRs look kind of thin right now, we could use a big vertical threat. But CB is a priority right now because that group also looks thin.

Aso was not a necessity. It was a luxury to get him. We forget that the Jets have an all world corner here. Holmes was a must to sign and yes Holmes is much past Edwards. Holmes=signed a lot of money Edwards=no money yet

So you'd rather have Holmes and Cro over Aso and Braylon?

I'm not saying that and that's a different scenario. It was almost Holmes and Aso.

I like Bray but Santonio is in a different class.
You must have a very short memory. Santonio
made plays that literally were the difference between a
win and loss. That defines a true game changer.

Well what Im saying is - The Jets could have signed Aso for 5 years 60 and Edwards for around 5 years 35. Total 95 mil

Holmes got 50 and Now Cro is going to get around 45 . Total = 95

Cro is further away from Aso the Edwards is Holmes.

If the Jets played their cards right they could have had Aso and Edwards instead of Holmes and whoever we get at CB.

How do you figure Braylon's numbers?

Well do you think he will get more? If anything he's going to get less and proves my point even further. Braylon is not getting more then 7 mil a year..

My point is the Jets could have got Aso and Edwards for less then Holmes and Cro if we played our cards right..And if we don't sign Crow then we dropped the ball even further.

I wanted Holmes but we also need a CB or we are in big trouble. CB's are hard to come by. Wr's = dime a dozen.
